1. A Fish Called Wanda [Blu-Ray] (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After almost 30 years, A Fish Called Wanda holds up nicely. The film barely shows its age and offers a droll sense of humor mixed with excellent performances. Starring John Cleese, Jamie Lee Curtis. MGM, $9.98, 7/5/2011.

2. A Fish Called Wanda: Collector's Edition (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you don’t own Wanda, get this special edition. If you do have the old DVD, this new set is an iffier purchase – at least if you don’t care about extras. The SE is a great buy for fans of supplements, and it also improves the picture and audio of the old disc. However, those areas don’t see radically superior here, so don’t expect a great step up for y

3. Monty Python's Life of Brian [Blu-Ray] (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While probably not Monty Python’s best work, Life of Brian offers a quality affair nonetheless. It gives us enough irreverent wit to make it entertaining. Starring Graham Chapman, John Cleese. Sony, $9.99, 1/29/2008.

4. Monty Python and the Holy Grail [Blu-Ray] (1975)
Reviewed by Colin After nearly 40 years, Monty Python and the Holy Grail remains an inconsistent but generally funny and fresh film. It’s not my favorite Python offering, but it’s entertaining and clever nonetheless. The Blu-ray provides pretty solid picture and audio along with a generally informative and enjoyable set of supplements. All of that with a low list price of less than

5. Monty Python and the Holy Grail: Extraordinarily Deluxe Edition (1975)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I’d say that this new 3-disc set is the best one for fans to get, but the big question is whether or not folks who own the prior 2-DVD Special Edition should upgrade. I’d say yes if they want the moderate picture improvements. The new extras aren’t worth it, especially since you can buy the CD on its own; there’s no need to snag this set to get it. Howev

6. Monty Python's Life of Brian: Criterion Collection (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While probably not Monty Python’s best work, Life of Brian offers a quality affair nonetheless. It gives us enough irreverent wit to make it entertaining. Starring Graham Chapman, John Cleese. Criterion, $39.95, 11/16/1999.

7. Time Bandits: Criterion Collection (1981)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: In the end, although I clearly find fault with the film, I enjoy Time Bandits enough that the movie comes recommended. Fans of Time Bandits will find this to offer the best version of the movie on DVD, but the film definitely could use a remastering. Directed by Terry Gilliam. Criterion, $34.98, 3/30/1999.

9. Monty Python and the Holy Grail: Collector's Edition (1975)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With a list price of $49.95, the “Collector’s Edition” of Holy Grail obviously shoots for die-hard fans. Those folks likely will already own the 2001 Special Edition, which this one duplicates and adds a few minor components. Frankly, these seem too insubstantial to warrant the extra cost. Starring Monty Python. Columbia, $44.95, 9/16/2003.

10. A Fish Called Wanda (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A Fish Called Wanda is a tough recommendation. On one hand, I like the film quite a bit. It's funny and clever and should hold up well to repeated viewings. However, picture, sound and extras are all somewhat weak. I'd have to say it's one of those "if you can get it really cheap" titles. Don't spend too much on it, but if you find it heavily discounted,
